Keeping the focus on Jesus during the Advent season can be a challenge. Christians have kept their anticipation on the coming of Christ using two tried and true items; the Advent Wreath and a daily Advent Calendar. Lighting the weekly Advent candles at your dinner table each Sunday evening (and continuing as you are able throughout the week) to focus your family devotional time is a gift. As the days get darker earlier, the candles burn more brightly each week.
The Christian Advent Calendar not only includes a treat for the day, but might also include a scripture verse, one of the many names of Jesus or an activity to draw your family together or serve others. Below you will find ideas for wreaths, family Advent prayers and Advent activities to draw you closer to Jesus and to each other!
