Christ the king Sunday
Christ the King Sunday is the last Sunday of the liturgical year. On this Sunday, we celebrate that Jesus is the one who rules our lives. We remember the promise that Jesus will come again to overturn evil, and restore the Kingdom of God's love, justice and mercy at the end of time. The activities below will help your kids (and you) to remember that Jesus is the one in charge!
Bake a batch of cupcakes with your children. While they are cooling, cut gold doilies in half, decorate with sequins and sparkles to remind us that Jesus is King. Once frosted, tuck the decorated halves around the edge of the frosting to make it stand up like a crown.

The Makerista offers a photo tutorial of how to make pipe cleaner crowns. These are easy to make and fun to wear while you eat your cupcakes and remembering the King of Kings!
